Through its participation in the International Peace Bureau’s Board of Directors, CPDCS played a major role in initiating the development of a 21st century Common Security Report and contributed to its recommendations. The report was issued on April 21, the 40th anniversary of the Olaf Palme Commission’s Common Security report which played a major role in bringing the first Cold War to an end. CPDSC, in partnership with PeaceQuest of Canada and Peace Action has organized an international webinar to launch the report in North America. Zhao Tong of the Carnegie International Peace Institute in China contributed the deeply analytical and heartfelt talk to the April 28 webinar.
